DeskMind ("we", "us") provides an AI-powered chat widget that businesses embed on their own websites. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. Information we collect

• Account info: your email, business name, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text) when you sign up.
• Widget configuration: the knowledge base text, tone, and settings you enter to configure your chat widget.
• Visitor chat messages: messages sent by your website's visitors through the widget are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply, and are not permanently stored beyond what's needed to serve that reply.
• Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — only a subscription status.

2. How we use it

To operate the widget, generate AI replies based on your knowledge base, enforce plan limits, process payments, and communicate with you about your account.

3. Third parties we use

• Anthropic (our AI provider) — processes chat messages to generate replies.
• Stripe — processes payments and subscription billing.
• Hostinger — hosts our servers and database.

4. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your widget configuration and stops the associated chat widget from functioning.

5. Data security

Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. All traffic to our site is encrypted via HTTPS. We restrict access to production data to what's needed to operate the service.
